Anushka Sharma is a Bollywood actress and producer. She has been recognized for acting and as one of the most well-paid Bollywood actors. Nush has been an ambassador for various firms and also has her own clothing for women line. Forbes Magazine has featured her too. Anushka Sharma was born on May 1, 1988 in Ayodhya In Uttar Pradesh, she was the daughter of Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka's dad is a colonel-retd. Anushka's mother is a housewife. Karnesh, Anushka Sharma's older brother who served in Merchant Navy is now a film director. Anushka Sharma graduated from Army School, Bangalore and is currently pursuing a the Bachelor of Arts (B.A) from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. Anushka possesses a Master in Arts (Economics). Anushka had always wanted to be either journalist or model but never an actor. Anushka moved to Mumbai following her graduation and began her studies at Elite Model Management, and was groomed by the style consultant Prasad Bidapa. Anushka debuted as a model in 2017 in Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show in Lakme Fashion Week. He chose her as the final model for the collection for Spring/Summer 2007. Anushka has worked on several brands since she made her debut model during Lakme Fashion Week. She's done campaigns with Fiat Palio, Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry, as well as Fiat Palio. Anushka took an acting class before beginning to audition for film roles in addition to her modeling career. Anushka made her debut as an actor in the year 2008 on Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with Shah Rukh Khan. As a screen test for her, she refused to do the test in a hurry and instead spent the day off to practice. In the following days she was cast in three movies for Yash Raj Films. In the film, she played a young woman who married a middle aged man (the part Shah Rukh Khan is playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka starred with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in the movie Badmash Company. The film received mixed critiques. Anushka was also seen alongside Ranveer in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' in which she played an Punjabi middle class girl who launched her own venture. The movie got positive reviews. Anushka's contract for three films with Yash Raj Films was completed with the Band Baaja Baraat.
